nihongo: Tumblrユーザーボイス: 神奈川県在住・岩田とも子さん。 定期的に山や湖などへ行き、そこで目につく植物や虫や動物などについて「観測」をして、その過程で収集したものを使ってアート活動などをされています。観測/観察結果をご自身のブログ「はじめの観測」に記録されています。 いつも身の回りで頻繁に見かけるけど、それが何なのかよくわかっていないものって結構ありますよね。そんな小さな疑問、好奇心からいろいろなアートが生まれます。      - なぜこのような身近な自然物の「観測」、勉強をされているのですか? また、どのように「観測」するものを選んでいるのですか? もともと天体をテーマに作品をつくる活動をしていたので地球の重力、空の先や地面の下というものに興味がありました。Tumblrでの記録行為を“観測”と呼んでいるのも、地球が一つの天体であることを意識して活動を行っていることから“天体観測”のイメージが浮かび、そこから取ってきました。 地面をみているうちに「植物が地上では上を向いて茎を伸ばし、地下では下に向かって根っこを伸ばしている」という当たり前のことがとても不思議に思えてきました。 Read More
